Brent Seavers is a Sacramento singer, songwriter, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist, and one of the founding creative forces behind The Lucky Shots. Active in California’s Power Pop, Garage Pop, and mod-influenced music scene for more than three decades, Seavers is known for melodic guitar work, harmony-driven songwriting, and a sound shaped by 1960s British Invasion, 1970s Power Pop revival, and modern retro-pop energy.
In 2002, Seavers founded The Lucky Shots as a long-running garage-pop and Power Pop project built around jangly guitars, mod-era textures, fuzz tones, and concise melodic hooks. His work with the band includes Bullseye (2002), It’s The Lucky Shots (2005), And Have Some Fun! (2016), and Clearly Opaque (2025), released by Kool Kat Musik.
In addition to The Lucky Shots, Seavers was a longtime member of Sacramento Power Pop band The Decibels, performing internationally and contributing to six full-length albums. He has also released solo material, including BS Stands For (2021) and Exhibit B (2024). His musical background connects The Lucky Shots to a broader Sacramento and West Coast Power Pop lineage. Ted Murdock
Ted Murdock is a vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter for The Lucky Shots, contributing Garage Rock, surf-inspired songwriting, fuzz-driven guitars, and vintage rock-and-roll energy to the band’s sound.
On Clearly Opaque (2025), Murdock shares songwriting duties with Brent Seavers, helping expand the band’s mix of melodic Power Pop and energetic Garage Rock. His musical background includes work with The Phantom Jets, whose 2008 release on the Screaming Apple label connected him to the international garage and retro-rock scene.
