About The Lucky Shots

The Lucky Shots formed in 2002 in Sacramento, California, blending Power Pop and Garage Rock with infectious melodies, retro-modern tones, and high-energy live performances.

Their early years included shows across the West Coast and a memorable appearance at the International Pop Overthrow festival, which helped establish their reputation in the indie power pop community.

In August 2005, they released their debut full-length album It’s The Lucky Shots, expanding their fan base through touring and online exposure. Their sound—often compared to British beat groups, late-70s mod revival, and classic American Power Pop—garnered attention on college radio and international indie programs.

Their follow-up LP, And Have Some Fun! (2016), showcased tighter songwriting and vibrant arrangements, blending upbeat hooks with vintage-inspired production.

In November 2025, The Lucky Shots released Clearly Opaque on Kool Kat Musik. Featuring jangly guitars, melodic basslines, and energetic rhythms, the album reflects themes of nostalgia, reflection, and modern life—further solidifying their reputation as a long-running, creatively evolving band.
